Agriculture is a critical sector for economic growth and, more importantly, food security,considering the inescapable derivatives of climate variabilities. Despite climatic and other challenges however, agriculture remains the career of choice for enterprise-driven youth in Jamaica.
The National School Garden Programme exists to ensure timely implementation, engagement of modern agricultural techniques and equipment while encouraging practical hands-on experience leading into the formal education system.
The EnGenDER Project
The EnGenDER project is aimed at addressing gender-based inequality, ensuring young men and women working as fisher folk and farmers are able to withstand the adverse impacts of climate change and recover quickly after disasters.
